What Makes Our Senior Living Software Great Is You

One of the things I’m proudest of as CEO of Vitals Software is the broad success our clients experience utilizing our solutions. I’d be lying if I said this was all carefully scripted in advance, but the reality is that most of the success has come by simply listening and responding (don't tell our competition). Our culture is built entirely on each of our team members having a servant's heart and understanding that each of our graphic-partnership-354x354clients have unique needs. The results have been remarkable. Our average client has been with us for over 10 years and has seen nearly every key busines metric improve during that time. 

When Tim Buchanan and I, along with a team of accomplished senior living professionals, set out to build the first web-based senior living software solution specifically for ALF, we did so with the goal of delivering an assisted living software solution that met a few simple goals. First and foremost, the product had to be useful. Meaning, staff needed to be able to use it efficiently and effectively without it adding to their already heavy workloads. This was the only way we were going to effectively capture the data needed to help drive business success. Leads needed to go in quickly, follow-up needed to flow out efficiently, assessments needed to be easy to perform, billing needed to take far less time, etc. etc.

Next it had to be flexible. It had to connect with other apps our clients were using (i.e. Accounting, Lead3Computers Referral, Maintenance, eMAR, Care Tracking, etc). It had to adapt to specific regulatory dynamics and evolve with changing marketplace conditions.

It had to have purpose; not just be another tool burdening the staff. It needed to reduce administrative burdens. It had to truly drive business success. For 20 years, the data tells us that this is precisely what has happened. Our customers experience consistent occupancy gains, reduced staff turnover, increased revenue & profits, timely assessments and compliance and more.

Ultimately, it had to drive profits. Tools that don’t ultimately achieve this are great ways to go broke faster. All too often, we’re approached by clients that are looking first to solve overhead challenges (care tracking, accounting, maintenance) while occupancy and pipeline management wane. While these are important areas to address, if occupancy and revenues are down, it makes the stress of addressing these other areas even more so.
